Rare teak sofa with original upholstery by Grete Jalk
This rare teak sofa designed ca. 1952 by Grete Jalk (1920-2006) has its original seat and back cushions with spring coils. The cushions are upholstered with the original green fabric designed by Grete Jalk (verified by Grete Jalk 24 October 2001).
The sofa was executed ca. 1952 by France and Daverkosen (later France & Son). France and Daverkosen was in the 1950s one of the most successful Danish furniture manufacturers. The company was founded by Fearnley France and now famous and very established architects like Finn Juhl, Peter Hvidt, Orla Mølgaard and Ole Wanscher created designs for France and Daverkosen.
The model number of this sofa is 118/4.
It is marked with France and Daverkosen plaque on lower backrest.
This early and original model is an absolute rarity.
1940s lounge chairs with black fabric by Frits Henningsen
This set of two lounge chairs were executed by master cabinetmaker Frits Henningsen (1889-1965) ca. in the 1940s.
The legs are in mahogany and the front pair are profiled. The seat and back are upholstered with patterned black fabric.
Both Ole Wanscher and A. J. Iversen also used this type of patterned fabric for some of their best furnitures.
A sofa with matching upholstery is also available.
Pair of Cuban mahogany chairs with reddish leather by Danish cabinetmaker
A pair of Cuban mahogany chairs upholstered with original patinated red leather. They are fitted with brass nails.
Executed by a skilled cabinetmaker in Denmark ca. in the 1930s.

Very rare petite sofa with curved teak by C. H. Brockmann-Petersen
This very rare petite sofa designed by C. H. Brockmann Petersen (1914-1972) has a combined curved teak backrest and armrest. Its seat is in woven cane. The bearing bars underneath are executed in a combination of fair and darker teak.
The sofa was designed in 1956.
It was executed by cabinetmaker Louis G. Thiersen & Søn, Denmark.

These lounge chairs have frames of stained beech. The seats are of original woven paper cord.
