Lady’s writing desk in Cuban mahogany by Ole Wanscher

This smaller writing desk was designed ca. 1950 by Danish architect Ole Wanscher (1903-1985).

The frame is of Cuban mahogany and it has profiled tapered legs. There are two drawers on the front, with the inside made of maple. The handles and fittings are of brass.

It was executed by Fritz Hansen, Denmark. The model number is 1784.

One original brass key is included.

One drawer stamped by maker FH (Fritz Hansen) and no. 2430.

The desk is mentioned and pictured on page 30 of Fritz Hansens Eftf. Catalog No. 5101 from 1951. See black and white photo.
