Lady's writing desk in Cuban mahogany by Ole WanscherThis smaller writing desk was designed ca. 1950 by Danish architect Ole Wanscher (1903-1985). The frame is of Cuban mahogany and it has profiled tapered legs. There are two drawers on the front, with the inside made of maple. The handles and fittings are of brass. It was executed by Fritz Hansen, Denmark. The model number is 1784. One original brass key is included. One drawer stamped by maker FH (Fritz Hansen) and no. 2430. The desk is mentioned and pictured on page 30 of Fritz Hansens Eftf. Catalog No. 5101 from 1951. See black and white photo.

Unique cheery wood and teak writing desk by Hans J. WegnerThis unique writing desk was designed and executed in 1948 by Danish architect Hans J. Wegner (1914-2007) and master cabinetmaker Johannes Hansen (1886-1961).
It has a cherry wood frame with feet of solid teak. The two drawers have brass handles. An original handcrafted brass key is includedProvenance: Architect Tang Ørnebjerg. The writing desk was made by special order for his apartment in Frederiksberg. It was purchased in 1948 directly from Johannes Hansen in Bredgade, Copenhagen.
