    1940s lounge chairs with black fabric by Frits Henningsen

    This set of two lounge chairs were executed by master cabinetmaker Frits Henningsen (1889-1965) ca. in the 1940s. The legs are in mahogany and the front pair are profiled. The seat and back are upholstered with patterned black fabric. Both Ole Wanscher and A. J. Iversen also used this type of patterned fabric for some of their best furnitures. A sofa with matching upholstery is also available.

    The so-called Chinese mahogany coffee table. Executed by cabinetmaker Frits Henningsen ca. in the 1930s. On top it has inlaid unique tiles depicting a fruit basket with decorative flowers. The tiles are handcoloured by painter and ceramist Jens Thirslund and executed at Herman August Kählers (HAK) pottery. The present model was exhibited in ‘Industriforeningen’, Copenhagen in 1933. Stand 12.

    This coffee table of Brazilian rosewood was designed and executed by cabinetmaker Frits Henningsen (1889-1965). It has a profiled edge and an apron. And there are two drawers on each side with brass handles.  The legs are fitted with brass shoes.  Two examples available. H. 52 cm (20,5") L. 130 (51") W. 64 cm. (25")

    This Chinese inspired mahogany coffee table was executed by cabinetmaker Frits Henningsen (1889-1965) ca. in the 1930s. The table top is decorated with unique tiles depicting Chinese Fenghuang birds also called the August rooster - a positive symbol of high virtue and grace. The tiles are handcoloured by painter and ceramist Jens Thirslund and executed at Herman August Kählers (HAK) pottery. Exhibited: The present model was exhibited in ‘Industriforeningen’, Copenhagen in 1933. Stand 12.

    SOLD - Rare pair of easy chairs with woven sea grass by Frits Schlegel

    This very rare pair of easy chairs with stained beech frame was designed by Frits Schlegel (1896-1965). Their seats and backs upholstered are with original woven sea grass. The chair model number is 1641. They were executed ca. 1930 by Fritz Hansen. Both chairs have the original paper label from Fritz Hansen with handwritten model and order number. Only two examples executed as per the paper label.

Backs fitted with brass nails. Executed in Denmark ca. in the 1930s. Seat height approx. 44 cm. (17,3") W. 48 cm. (18,9") L. 49 cm. (19,3")
