    Set of three Sung glazed stoneware dishes by Carl Halier

    This set of three round stoneware dishes designed by Carl Halier (1873-1948) is decorated in sung glaze with blue and greenish details. They were manufactured for Royal Copenhagen, Denmark. They are signed with monogram and model number.   Small dish: No. 21821, executed 1963. H. 3 cm. (1,2″) W. 12 cm (4,7″)   Medium dish: No. 21822, executed 1963. H. 3,5 cm. (1,4″) W. 16 cm (6,3″)   Large dish: No. 21824, executed 1966. H. 4,5 cm. (1,8″) W. 24,5 cm (9,7″)

    Stoneware dish with dark blueish glaze for L. Hjorth

    This stoneware dish with beautiful deep blue glaze was manufactured at L. Hjorth Terracottafabrik in Rønne, Bornholm, Denmark founded by Lauritz Hjorth (1834-1912). Many grand artist were connected to L. Hjorth Terracottafabrik and created designs for the company, among others the Danish painters Holger Drachmann and Kristian Zahrthmann. After the death of founder Lauritz Hjorth in 1912 his two sons took over and the company is still today in the hands of Hjorth descendants.

    This very large elliptical shaped earthenware dish designed by Nils Kähler (1906-1979) was executed by Herman A. Kähler, Denmark, ca. in the 1940s. It is decorated with black and turquoise green double glaze. The dish is incised with the ‘HAK’ monogram. L. 55,5 cm. (21,9") H. 4,8 cm. (1,9")
