Large table lamp with green and white ornaments by Ejner JohansenThis large earthenware table lamp by Ejner Johansen is decorated with green and white ornaments on a black and brown glazed background. It was designed and executed when Ejner Johansen was working from his own studio in Copenhagen, Denmark between 1942 and 1957. In 1958 Ejner Johansen began working for Søholm Stoneware in Bornholm and then later in the 1970s for Knabstrup. This lamp is an example of pieces he created in his own name. It is signed ‘EJO’ on the bottom. H. 50 cm. (20")

The chair was designed in 1942 and executed by Rud. Rasmusen, Denmark. ca. 1948. The model number is 6356. Seating height. 40 cm. (15,75") Provenance: Architect Ornebjerg. Purchased 1948 for his apartment in Frederiksberg.

Set of six rosewood dining chairs by Ole WanscherThis set of six dining chairs designed by Ole Wanscher (1903-1985) is executed in rosewood. These chairs have seats upholstered with black horsehair and details of black leather. They were designed in 1942. The chairs were manufactured and labeled by Slagelse Møbelværk for Danish luxury department store Illum’s Bolighus. H. 75 cm. W. 45 cm. D. 45 cm. Literature: Illums Bolighus, catalogue circa 1960.
